To fulfill its corporate citizenship responsibilities, Scientech complies with the Labor Standards Act and supports international guidelines such as the ILO Tripartite Declaration of Principles, OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the UN Global Compact. The company also aligns with the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Code of Conduct and has established the “Scientech Human Rights Policy,” along with workplace rules and personnel regulations, to safeguard employees’ legal rights.

Scientech strictly adheres to local laws and regulations at all operational sites and is committed to protecting the human rights of all employees, including full-time, contract, temporary, and interns. The company strives to maintain a safe and healthy workplace, improve labor conditions, and enhance employees’ quality of life. Guided by national labor laws, the Act of Gender Equality in Employment, and the principles of “respect for human rights” and “employment based on merit,” Scientech builds a safe and healthy working environment.

In addition, Scientech manages human rights risks across its operations and supply chain through its website, Supplier Code of Conduct, and ethical standards. By adopting the RBA self-assessment program, the company identifies and evaluates material human rights issues, implements preventive and mitigating measures, and continuously refines feedback and improvement processes to strengthen human rights management throughout the supply chain.

To ensure the protection of employee rights, Scientech complies with the provisions of the Labor Standards Act. In the event of significant operational changes or if termination of employment contracts becomes necessary, the company will follow government regulations to end labor contracts. The minimum notice period for operational changes will also comply with the requirements stipulated by the Labor Standards Act.

Scientech has established an Employee Welfare Committee, independently operated and managed by elected employee representatives. The committee sets subsidy standards according to employee needs and organizes a variety of activities. In addition to subsidies, the annual employee welfare fund is mainly used to organize events such as club activities, year-end banquets and raffles, recreational events, and health seminars.

Scientech upholds the safety commitment that “building a safe work environment and protecting employee health is our responsibility,” in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act, by establishing and implementing an Occupational Safety and Health Management System (OSHMS). We have obtained ISO 45001:2018 certification and conduct regular annual assessments to understand the needs and expectations of stakeholders, while performing hazard identification, as well as risk and opportunity assessments.

We provide employees with safe and healthy working conditions, comply with occupational safety and health regulations and requirements, eliminate hazards and reduce risks, and promote consultation and participation in workplace safety and health. In addition to setting targets and tracking improvements for major risks, we continuously seek opportunities for improvement to better control risks.
