Pilot HPLC System

The Contichrom lab-scale LC system allows to use multiple process principles such as batch chromatography, sequential multi column chromatography, simulated moving bed (SMB), CaptureSMB and the novel MCSGP principle with the same equipment.
The "multicolumn countercurrent solvent gradient purification" (MCSGP) process is based on the internal recycling of side fractions. Advantages of MCSGP in comparison with batch chromatography are a 50% increase in yield and purity at 10-fold throughput and 70% less eluent consumption.
The system uses standard columns and resins and is designed for the efficient chromatographic purification of proteins, peptides and small molecules. The Contichrom lab LC system with a flow rate of 0.1 – 10 ml/min can process up to 45 g product per day. It can be used from discovery to production.
