GNR Ltd was established in 1984 in Milan; the promoters were Mario Gungui, General manager, and Antonio Nigro, Technical Manager. In the same year they took over OPTICA Ltd, one of the first and most well-known European companies in the field of Analytical Instrumentation.
The production of over 200 instruments a year and the constant trend towards a greater expansion rank GNR Analytical Instruments as one of the foremost companies in that field.
In 2004 a balanced policy, meant to consolidate and diversify the production, led to a significant participation into ORI Instruments Ltd and to the take-over of ITAL STRUCTURES Ltd in Riva del Garda (Trento). The latter is an important Italian company, established in 1966, specialized in the production of X-ray Analytical Instruments. It is present, with over 2000 instruments, on the main international markets, in advanced research centers as well as in the metallurgic, chemical, pharmaceutical, electronic, environmental and food industry.
Our company has always been characterized by a strong commitment in research and development.
GNR ANALYTICAL INSTRUMENTS GROUP can rely on a well-established group of highly qualified researchers and technicians, plus the cooperation with leading Italian and foreign University Department. Together, these two elements constitute the best precondition for a strong and fast-growing technological development, and for an increasing and significant presence on the world-wide market.
The Head Office is in Agrate Conturbia (Novara), near Lago Maggiore; its located in a 12000 square meters site, of which 2400 square meters are built-up.
The X-Ray Department is located in Riva del Garda (Trento), on a 1200 square meters site.
